courses have a wide range of tuition fees and intake schedules. Tution
fees range from AU$250/week to AU$400/week.The followings are
guidelines for your study plan indicating TESOL and Cambridge courses
have typical fee ranges and intake schedules.
General English |
In most language courses, you can start at
every Monday. However, each term in TAFE-affiliated and
University-affiliated courses starts at every 5 weeks. You need to check
the details in their websites.
Language courses have a wide range of tuition fees. Discounts may apply during a promotion
period. Once you select a few candidates, it is recommended to compare
the fees before making any registeration.
Generally, tution fees range
from AU$250~AU$350/week.
AU$300/week can be the moderate choice.

Academic English |
Not every school offers Academic English
courses. Acdemic English course term starts every 5 weeks; it is
programmed to match the intake schedules of higher education
institutions.
Tuition fee: $325/week, registration fee $200
AMES(well-known for its EAP course) starts at 4
Jan, 8 Feb, 15 Mar, 19 April, 24 May, 28 June, 2 Aug, 6 Sep, 11 Oct, 15 Nov.

Cambridge Exam preparation |
Most Cambridge Exam Prepration courses have
similar intake schedules, because they are designed to prepare students
for 10-12 weeks before the Cambridge exam which takes place 3
times/year. Intake dates are January 4, March 22 and September 13. You
need to prepare in advance in order not to miss the dates. Please
consult with MEIC before making an application.
Tuition fee: $380 (test fee) + $120 (expenses for teaching materials), 10-12 weeks
* Total tuition fees may exceed $4,000. In some cases, 2 weeks special bonus for a
10-weeks enrolment may be granted;
Please confirm this with AES before the enrolment.
Most courses start at the same timeframe as Cambridge Exam takes place only 3 times/year making 10-12 weeks
prepration prior to the test.

IELTS preparation |
Course starts every 5 week in most cases, as
in EAPs above. However, due to the recently increased demand of IELTS, a
number of schools accept students every week.
Specialized programs include Test Practice,
Intermediate Level or Advanced Level. Mostly, tuition fees are not more
expensive than general language courses

TESOL |
Tuition fee: $340/week, a 10-week course
* Most TESOL courses in Melbourne provide TKT test preparation in addition:
+ $240(test fee) + $120
(expenses for teaching material).

(for Impact TESOL courses that are favored by students)

Tuition fee: $1800 / 5 weeks

*Note: The least expensive University-affiliated
language course, Swinburne, has its tuition fee set as $340. Thus, a
